We took our dog out to BCBD for one month training and I am so happy with the results! Not only is she surpassing my husband's standards for hunting but she's a completely different dog inside the house too. We have three little kids so this is really helpful. Shes calmer and so much better behaved. Jason speaks dog! Learning from him was a highlight for us as he is kind but firm with the dogs and we both feel much more confident in being able to work with our dog at home and in the field. I couldn’t be happier with my experience at Burnt Creek Kennels and the progress my 8-month-old Brittany, Odin, has made. From the very beginning, it was clear that the trainers truly care about both the dogs and their development.
Odin has shown incredible improvement in his obedience and responsiveness to commands in a relatively short time. What’s been especially impressive is how confidently he’s been introduced to birds and gunfire—two areas I was initially a bit concerned about given his age. The team handled everything with patience, skill, and a clear understanding of how to build a young dog’s confidence step by step.

I'm really happy that I sent my dog to Burnt Creek. He was there for the three month training and I am so glad to have a good working gun dog that has been trained correctly from the beginning. I didn't want him to start off with any bad habits and so that is why I had him formally trained by Burnt Creek. I'm very much looking forward to hunting with him this season. Also what is nice about burnt creek is that it's ongoing. If you have any questions about your dog you can call Jason and he can help you through anything going on with your dog before, during, and after training. I originally brought my young dog to Jason long before his training just to have him assessed and Jason showed me some pointing drills to do with him. Highly recommend it's worth doing so you can enjoy your dog instead of fighting your it and developing bad habits.
